This spot has become the perfect halfway meeting point for me and a dear friend—and it never disappoints. We’ve returned time and time again, and each visit reminds us why. The service is consistently outstanding—attentive, personalized, and always so thoughtful. We love to linger over the delicious charcuterie board, sip on perfectly crafted drinks, and catch up without ever feeling rushed. The relaxed yet elegant atmosphere makes it easy to unwind and truly enjoy the moment. On our most recent visit, we were pleasantly surprised with a birthday firecracker and a decadent dessert—such a special touch that made the night even more memorable. Avert Brasserie continues to be one of our favorite places, and we can’t wait to return again soon.

Everything we had at A’vert was a 10/10! This was a spot that had been on my restaurant bucket list that definitely lived up to the hype. All of the meats were cooked perfectly, and the cheese fondue and croquette appetizers really hit the spot. Decadent desserts - we especially loved the profiteroles! It has a nice vibe in there and is perfect for any occasion, whether you’re looking to go out with friends and family, or have a date night. The staff was attentive as well!

First time in this French Restaurant. The service provided by Cecilia was outstanding . She gave excellent t reccomendations for appetizers and food..the French Onio soup was amazing as well as the Mussels and the Escargots. The Trout, the Duckand the Fillet were amazing. We shared a Creme Broulet between the 3 of us because we were all full. The coctails and wine selection is very good. They have a happy hours everyday except for Sundays from 3 to 6 pm.

this is an absolutely amazing place! I got the beef bourguignon, and my wife got the duck cassoulet I think it had wild game sausage as well as pork belly .both were outstanding! I went here about 5 years ago with my friend, and I recall it as being good but it seems even better now! it's like being transported to a little mom and pop restaurant in the French Alps. truthfully, we just returned from France in September and a lot of the tourist traps in Paris are quite production oriented. in contrast to avert which clearly takes the extra time to prepare an exquisite dining experience. I highly recommend it!

The Foie Gras was amazing. Had the canard, duck breast. Was very good. I would get it more medium over medium rare next time but the accompanying spinach was simply glorious.

C'est manifique. The best restaurant I've ever stumbled across by happy accident. A friendly greeting and comfortable window seat, the menu with interesting and mysterious foods I've never tried. We settled on Croquet monsieur with salad, (grilled ham and cheese that is like nothing you've ever tasted before, crunchy, gooey deliciousness in every bite) And Pan Bagnat with salad,( tuna with tapenade and aioli- chewy crunch bread smeared with tuna salad, tapenade (olives). Tuna with a tangy kick) We cut our sandwiches in two and each savored our halves of the two excellent délices culinaires (culinary delights) The piéce de résistance, the chef's kiss, was an exquisite créme brulée. Every bite smooth and lucious with creamy, sugary, toasty crunch. Our server was so nice and attentive. The ambiance warm, welcoming filled with lovely seasonal touches. Classic jazz music, the perfect soundtrack. I want to visit again very soon and I don't care that I need to drive 4 hours round trip to do it.

Happy hour is highly recommended. We come here on every visit to CT and it is always great. The menu was small but really great food. We had oysters to start and then the avert burger. It was really yummy. Perfect medium delicious bun, Gruyère and aioli. Good ingredients put together really well. Then desert came along and it was the equivalent of a mic drop. Check these photos. Vanilla crème brûlée. Great sugar crust and really creamy filling. OMG the cheesecake, cream, pistachios and decorated with these dots of blackberry. Seriously good. My son had the mango sorbet. It was really mango strong. Nothing left in no time. Our sever Anish’s was awesome too. Thanks so much for a great evening

Avert is amazing and think it should be higher rated, the staff are so nice and never have had a problem with the food. Honestly I have so many food pictures from this place I would add if I had them more organized. The brunch deal seemed great for the food to the price (I think it was 25 per person for app entree and desert). Love the croquettes and croquettes monsieur for breakfast food, I usually get salmon for dinner but so many good options.

Avert Brasserie offers a lovely Sunday brunch experience. I chose the artichoke and spinach omelette with melted Swiss cheese, and it was delicious and satisfying. The service was a little slow, but our server was kind and reassuring, letting us know our dishes were on the way. Parking directly in front of the restaurant isn’t ideal since it’s almost always packed, but there is a convenient parking garage about one block away, which helps. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by a huge red curtain—what a delightful and unexpected surprise. Overall, a charming brunch spot with great ambiance and flavorful food. 🌞🍳

A guaranteed culinary experience that makes you want to return for more (which I have over and over again! We even had our son’s high school graduation dinner here with our family from out of town). Every menu offers something special, but I love a good brunch and Avert delivers. Service, cuisine, atmosphere - not a large restaurant, so there is a sense of intimacy to it. Walk-ins are always welcome, but it’s a treasure, so reservations recommended.
